Common Entrance Test (CET) for Group B and C recruitment: Coming soon


The Central Government has proposed that a single examination (Common Eligibility Test) will be conducted for the selection of aspirants to the various non-gazetted Group B and Group C posts in the Central Government, State/UT Government and the Public Sector Banks.

Every year, approximately 2.5 crore candidates appear in such recruitment examinations for approximately 1.25 lakhs jobs.

National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is likely to conduct CET from September 2021.

There will a separate CET each for the three levels of graduate, higher secondary (12th pass) and the matriculate (10th pass) candidates.

There will be four subjects for the NRA CET to be followed, i.e Reasoning Ability, English Language & Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.

Based on the screening done at the CET score level, final selection for recruitment shall be made through separate specialised tiers (II, III etc) of examination which shall be conducted by the respective recruitment agencies (SSC, RRBs and IBPS).
