Uttarakhand Teachers Eligibility Test (UTET)

Uttarakhand Board of School Education conducts Uttarakhand Teachers Eligibility Test (UPTET) in order to select candidates for the appointment of teacher for Classes I to VIII in government, private aided, and private unaided schools of Uttarakhand.

UTET comprises of two papers. UTET Paper I needs to be given by aspirants who want to teach Class I to Class V whereas UTET Paper II needs to be given by candidates who want to become teachers for Class VI to Class VIII. Candidates who qualify the exam would be given the eligibility certificate.

UTET Eligibility:

The applicants must fulfil the UTET eligibility requirements before submitting the UTET application form. Candidates are recommended that after obtaining UTET information bulletin, read all the information thoroughly.
The minimum eligibility requirements consist of the following requirements:

1.	Paper#1 (Class 1 to 5th)	Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education.). OR Graduation (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.). OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). OR Shiksha Mitra passed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), from IGNOU.
2.	Paper#2 (Class 6 to 8th)	Graduation (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./ D.El.Ed.). OR Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular). OR Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular)), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.). OR Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).).
